Between the cove Sa Corbetera and the beach of Castell in Palamós, on a small peninsula we can visit the Iberian town of Castell. A settlement whose origin dates back to the 6th century BC. This population center capable of prospering even beyond Roman colonization thanks to its strategic location and complex orography, the terrain on which it stands.

If we go from the beach of La Fosca to the beautiful Cala s'Alguer we will find the Castillo de Sant Esteve, a defensive military-type building that rises, as happens in other cases along the Costa Brava, on the ruins of previous enclaves, in this case it would first be an Iberian settlement, later a Roman villa and finally in the 11th century the medieval fortress.
