On the banks of the sea, in the Gulf of Roses we can visit the Ruins de Ampuries, one of the important commercial colonies of the Mediterranean in different historical times. In this beautiful enclave in which we have the opportunity to walk on almost 3000 years of history we can find the Greek city, older, dating from the 6th century B.C. and the subsequent Roman expansion belonging to several different periods, reaching the end of the empire that we can appreciate in a paleocristian basilica.
