Our rural house is in Sant Joan Les Fonts, in Girona, in the Garrotxa Natural Park.

It is a home located on the ground floor of a large Catalan farmhouse. It measures approximately 35m2 in total. This construction is the main house, along with other accommodations, they form our small rural complex.

We are on a basaltic lava cliff, where the Volcanoes Natural Park ends. The river passes about 40 meters below the house (there is no access) and the property is closed to avoid danger.

The farmhouse is the typical construction of traditional Catalan architecture. It was built in the 18th century and has been renovated to create several charming accommodations. The façade has the characteristic appearance, with volcanic stones, apart from windows nestled in its thick walls. It has a very peculiar gate, arch-shaped and made of wood, which opens with leaves. Precisely this door is the entrance to our home, since it is located on the ground floor.

The basic capacity of this accommodation is for 2 people, making it perfect for a couple. However, if you are traveling with children, the capacity can be increased to 4 people.

These last 2 guests would stay on a comfortable divan in the living room. This is a very unique room, since it has vaulted and whitewashed ceilings. This leads to a feeling of spaciousness and warmth at the same time. Some walls maintain the stone, while others are painted in an albero tone. In addition to the sofa-chair, convertible into two beds, there is television.

The kitchen is integrated into the same room, without partitions. It consists of several countertops, with a refrigerator and 2 ceramic hobs. There are also other small appliances and kitchenware. In the same area there is the dining table with 4 chairs.

It has a bedroom, with a double bed and an adjoining bathroom with access from the room. A large shower and new sink decoration

The exterior offers a lot of options, as it has very extensive facilities:

• Garden of 4000 square meters, covered with grass and populated by trees and flowers, a beautiful environment.
• Swings for the little ones.
• Wooden cabin enabled for children's games.
• Games room, where there is a billiards and dart board.
• Swimming pool integrated into the landscape, built, closed around its perimeter.
• Football field, with goals.
• Net to play volleyball.
• Barbecues

You can come with your pet, taking into account you will have to pay a supplement.

We are in the heart of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone National Park, a natural paradise with great geological wealth. One of its volcanoes is Croscat, belonging to the town of Sant Pau. It is the most recent creation and has a large crater. On its slopes extends the Jordá Beech, which grows on the lava that cooled after the last eruption.

Sant Joan Les Fonts is the town where our complex is located, on the outskirts of it. It has several places of interest, such as the Monastery of Sant Joan Les Fonts, which is considered a national monument. Also noteworthy is the medieval bridge, made of volcanic stone, as is common in the area, and the Estada Juvinyà castle from the 12th century.  The best is the Route of the 3 lava flows

It is very nice to take the route of medieval towns, going to Besalú and Sant Pau. They have a beautiful historical aesthetic, for example, Besalú has been considered a National Historical-Artistic Site since 1966.

Just 6 km away is the capital of the region, Olot, with all services.
