Can Baldiret

Our rural house, great for hosting 8 people, is in the Cap de Creus Natural Park, very close to the beach. The house has 2 floors.

The main floor of the house, which is at street level, has 3 bedrooms:

• One of them has a double bed, as well as a television.
• Another also has a double bed, and for the little ones, a crib.
• In the third room you will find 2 single beds.
• And in the fourth room there are two beds and television. (It is on the second floor.)

It will be on this main floor where you will find the common rooms.

To begin with, our living room, where the leather armchairs, the television and the music system are at your use so you can pass the time. All in the heat of the fireplace.

The kitchen comes with tons of things, from oven, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher. Combi refrigerator, traditional oven and gas and electric hob. There are botijos as old elements that decorate the house.

The other floor of the rural accommodation is a winery that has elements from the 12th century, such as its Romanesque arch. It is an area with stone walls and vaulted stone ceilings, and in this part of the house you will find:

• A small cinema room, with a projector and home-cinema that are surrounded by cinema seats. (It is advisable to bring your movies, family photos, videos... on a pen-drive or in DVD format.
• A jacuzzi that has space for about 5-6 people, and lights that change.
• A billiards, but it is European style, that is, without holes. In it you can learn to play carom.

Finally, outside there is a patio with tables and chairs and a barbecue area.

A little separated from the house is the old orchard, now adapted to a garden with table and chairs, all covered by a pergola with a cascade of plants as a curtain.

In the house there is an internet connection via Wi-Fi.

The Cap de Creus Natural Park is very important at a geological level, since it is the easternmost part of the country. It usually has strong waves due to the Tramuntana (very strong wind from the north). From Port Bou (French border) to Rosas, we find 135 wonderful beaches of all types. Located very close to Cadaques (a Dalí perquero town) we are within the trilogy of Dali Cadaques, Figueres and Pubol.

Port de la Selva is a small and wonderful residential fishing and tourist town. There are no large hotels, buildings with a maximum of two floors.

La Vall de la Santa Creu is a small town of medieval origin, with about thirty houses, with circulation reserved for the inhabitants of the place (in their case, as they are occupants of a house, they can circulate and park near the house.)

In addition, the Costa Brava and Puerto de la Selva offer you:

• The beaches of Cap de Bol, d'En Balleu, La Vall beach, Port de la Selva beach, Tamariua beach, Cala Cátiva and many more beaches with clear and transparent Mediterranean waters. 

• The Cala Taballera, whose importance is that it begins a very important hiking route, and is a quiet and solitary beach accessible by sea by boat.

• The lighthouses of Sarnella and the Cape de Creus.

• We have very close, within sight of the house, the Monastery of Sant Pere de Roda (or Rodes) at the foot of the castle of Sant Salvador de Verdera.  Further away is the Gothic Basilica of Santa Maria de Castlló d'Empuries. The Romanesque abbey of Vilabertran, etc.
• Close to the Peralada and Torre Mirona golf courses.
• About 15 km from the French border, with the towns of Cotlliure (resting place of the poet Antonio Machado.) Perpignan, etc. 
• Empordà Wine Route.
• And many other locations that are equally or more interesting.
