Casa Rural El Majano

Our rural accommodation is located on a one hectare farm.

The house is built of stones, and in the surroundings you can enjoy different trees and vegetation, as well as streams.

From the house there are great views of Montánchez and from it you can see the town's Castle located at the top of the hill.

It is a house built in stone. This material can be seen both on the façade and on many interior walls.

The accommodation has capacity for 6 people (4 beds and a double sofa bed). Therefore, we recommend it for families or a small group of friends.

All rooms are distributed on a single floor, and have an outdoor area.
Inside you have:

• A living room, with different sofas and a beautiful stone fireplace with a door and a side table. One of the sofas is a “sofa bed”, with capacity for 2 people. As electronic devices we have a television and a DVD. The decoration is made of stone since it is this material that predominates in the room.
• A bedroom with 2 single beds.
• A bedroom with a double bed.
• The kitchen has an American bar and communicates directly with the living room. The bar/countertop is made of stone as it is this material that predominates throughout the accommodation. Refrigerator, toaster, microwave or smoke extractor are some of the appliances we have. We also have a wood stove in the kitchen.
• A complete bathroom.

In the outdoor area we have two porches with furniture so you can eat or sit quietly.

We also have a brick barbecue, a grass area and a small table with chairs and an umbrella for when the sun comes down you can be peacefully outside.

The rural house also has:

• Air conditioning.
• Heating.

*If you have animals, you can bring them to our accommodation, as pets are allowed.

We are in Montánchez. If you want to do tourism in our town, we recommend:

• The Plaza de España. From this square you can go see the main places in Montánchez such as the castle or the church.
• TheCastle of Montánchez. This castle is located very close to the town, on top of a hill. It was built when the Arabs inhabited Spain, however, over time, Christians have added elements of their art. Therefore, you will be able to see a mix of cultures.
• TheChurch of San Mateo. It is a temple that dates back to the 17th century. It was built on the foundations of another from the previous century. Different artistic styles decorate it, however, two predominate: the Renaissance and the Romanesque.
• Don't forget to walk through Chanchalejo, an old Muslim neighborhood.

The gastronomy of our town is very important. Serrano ham, something very typical of the area.
