Casa Rural Cortijo la Gabrielina

We offer you El Cortijo “La Gabrielina”, which is a 2-story accommodation whose construction dates back to the 19th century, although it is currently renovated. It is located in the town of Esparragalejo.

The great attraction of this farmhouse is concentrated in its typically Extremaduran architecture as well as its decoration. In this way, the house is equipped with objects and furniture from the period, making it possible for you to go back in time during your stay and experience a stay nuanced by popular ways of life, culture and Extremaduran tradition.
A representative example of this is the 2 living rooms with fireplace, whose tiles are the work of a famous ceramist. One of the living rooms is composed of a stretcher table surrounded by pastel-colored chairs, and the other living room is furnished with sofas in front of the fireplace.

The kitchen of the house is furnished with white cabinets, and has the appliances that are necessary today. The dining room, whose center is the table that seats 6 people, is painted in yellow tones, and preserves numerous kitchen utensils, both old and new.

In the rural house there are a total of 4 rooms, of which one has a double bed and the other 3 have 2 separate beds. Both with wrought iron headboard, wardrobe and nightstands. We have 2 extra beds.

To combat the strong summer heat, the farmhouse has a large swimming pool, barbecue and terrace.

We offer laundry services as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Cortijo is located in the middle of a pasture where you can enjoy the typical Extremadura landscape dotted with hills, chaparros and granite formations.

In the distance you can see the Sierra de San Pedro and San Serván, whose skies are flown over by vultures and storks. The passage of the cranes can be seen from the farm itself because it is located in the passage area of these birds.

In this Extremaduran area there are the “Los Galgos” or “Esparragalejo” pools, where you can carry out fishing activities.

Apart from this, you can also take cultural excursions, visiting, for example, the archaeological zone, located in the Lácara Dólmen or the Monastery of Guadalupe as well as the cities of Cáceres or Trujillo.
