Casa Rural La Vega

It is a rural house located a few kilometers from the town of San Vicente de Alcántara, in the province of Badajoz.

A building built in stone, with a single floor, and with the capacity to accommodate up to 6 people plus 2 additional beds.

The house consists of 3 bedrooms with a full bathroom inside each one. In addition, one of the rooms is completely adapted for disabled people and one of the bathrooms has a whirlpool bath).

• Stone room with2 single beds

Other rooms in the house are the kitchen, with everything necessary for our guests to cook comfortably, and a living-dining room with a wood-burning fireplace, a television with a DVD player and several board games. There is also a porch at the entrance.

The accommodation is surrounded by a garden that has a semi-covered space for the barbecue so you can also enjoy the outdoors.

We offer activities for children related to nature (we have a farm and an ecological garden so that the little ones can learn to take care of the animals and the products we grow).
The entire rural house is equipped with central heating, we accept pets and we have bicycles at your disposal for excursions around the surroundings.

The rural house is located in the Sierra de San Pedro, a natural environment dotted with cork oak and rock rose forests that has a bird observatory on the Albarragena River (you can spot eagles, hoopoes or thrushes).

A few kilometers away you can visit San Vicente de Alcántara (known as the "Villa del cork"), with notable monuments such as:

• Church of San Vicente Mártir (built in the second half of the 18th century, from the baroque-neoclassical period and which houses wood carvings by the artist Sebastián de Paz)
• Piedrabuena Castle (built in the 12th century and very well preserved)
