Can Soler II

It is a Catalan farmhouse located near the Girona municipality of Porqueres, in the interior of the Pla de l'Estany region. It was built in the 17th century and hundreds of years later we decided to restore it, carefully preserving its initial structure.

Surrounded by Mediterranean forest, the distribution of its spaces was designed respecting the environment as much as possible. All of them promote a warm and comfortable environment both inside and outside, which has been possible thanks to the incorporation of the best equipment.

If something characterizes the façade, it is its thick stone walls and large windows from which you can see an extensive garden.

We wanted to create a space adapted to audiences of all ages, which is for shared use by the guests of the 4 homes, which is why we decided to incorporate a swimming pool with a slide that will delight the little ones as well as a swing area. Meanwhile, older people can sunbathe on the sun loungers or prepare lunch in the barbecue area. As it has so much outdoor space, the Masía also has stone tables spread across the lawn where reading and the views will be most pleasant.

There are many leisure alternatives that we offer in our complex of 4 homes, because in addition to the common outdoor recreational spaces, the home has a shared room equipped with a ping pong table, billiards, foosball and even an area specially created and equipped for the entertainment of the little ones.

The common areas are distributed in the same elongated space in which there is room for the kitchen, a large dining table located in the center and the living area. Ceilings with wooden beams and large sofas make it a cozy corner in which the wood-burning fireplace also has a place.

Modernity and tradition merge in the 2 bathrooms, fully equipped spaces, where the shower screen in one of them was built with corrugated glass blocks. With a capacity for about 10 people the house has 2 quadruple bedrooms and a third with a double bed. Enjoying long and peaceful walks in the surroundings is possible since the house is surrounded by natural spaces in which to get lost. A few meters away is the Romanesque Church of St. Quirze and close to it is one of the most recognized fountains in the region with drinking water of very good quality, the Merlant. The best views of the area are seen from the Mirador del Valle de Sant Miquel.

If you plan to visit the town of Banyoles, don't miss its lake, one of the largest in Catalonia. A charming place ideal for sunbathing on the shore, taking a boat ride or watching the sunset. 

Traveling back in time is possible in Besalú, a medieval city whose Roman bridge and Jewish quarter are worth visiting.

A little further away is Girona. The capital's Arab baths stand out as well as its colorful houses that border the Oñar River and which are reminiscent of the Italian city of Venice for their resemblance.
