One of the best things we could do in the surroundings of the town of Castelldefels is to visit the Garraf Natural Park, an almost wild environment on the coast of the province of Barcelona of almost 13000 hectares of extension where the forest Mediterranean runs to the edge of the sea that gives it its name and character.

In this territory we will be able to enjoy up to 11 different hiking routes of different classifications according to their difficulty, but there is none that anyone who does not have a serious medical condition cannot do. In the many captivating kilometers that we are going to cover, we will find the occasional mountain peak, not very high, caves, cliffs and above all abundant wildlife, since there is part of this natural park that includes the Delta del Llobregat which is one of the most important wetlands in all of Catalonia, with what that implies at a biological level.

In the middle of this marvelous sea of ​​vegetation, on the edge of the true Sea, we find an eccentric landmark unique to the Catalan coast, a Buddhist temple built on an old modernist villa with Gothic ornaments, the Palau de Novella. This 19th-century mansion became a sanctuary in 1996 and since then it has been dedicating itself to the practice of interior observation and spiritual exercises open to the public, and the setting is quite conducive to this end.
