Description of La Casa de Villar
Within the traditional housing complex of Villar De Huergo is this rural house, sheltered from the Pyrenees.
It reminds us of the homes of yesteryear, with its stone facade and balconies finished in wood, although inside you will find modern comforts that intermingle to create a cozy atmosphere. In fact, I originally had up to a block.
It is made up of 212 square meters completely renovated, a generous space for its capacity: 4 people maximum. It is also distributed in 2 floors, articulated by the staircase, which leads to the upper terraces from where you can see the mountains.
Your pet can accompany you, but you must request it.

- We begin with the entrance, the porch welcoming us with a small table and a couple of chairs. We love it because when the weather is good, the intimacy of the house in this outdoor space is ideal for going out to get some fresh air and stay to chat until sunset. At one end is where the firewood is located, provided by the accommodation.
- The hall is the first step to staying inside, even having a shoe rack where you can leave your shoes. This space will take us to the kitchen, which has a dining room for everyday use.
- Its walls intersperse tiles and stone, leaving the countertop with a wooden base and a row of drawers below to store the kitchenware and the tableware. It has also been equipped with modern appliances, including the oven, as well as a washing machine that will help you bring back your luggage clean. There are Italian coffee maker !
- The living room allows you to have some entertainment in the dead moments inside the house, because next to the wall there is a piece of furniture on which is the large flat screen television. Right in front we find the sofa, in L, with some cushions and the central table. Although it has heating, the living room also has a stove. Also, in case you want to have breakfast while watching a program, there is an American bar with its high stools.
- On the upper floor are the 2 rooms, separated by a more informal resting corner that has access to the terrace and this one, views towards the mountain.
- The first bedroom has a double bed, the second 2 single beds. Similar in design, they have shelves embedded in the stone, good lighting and plenty of space to contain your nightstands and an additional seat. They also have ironing accessories. X
- For its part, the bathroom is elegant, the shower as a means to take away the stress of the day and toiletries that complement it, since you can request the towels. Similarly, you will find the toilet paper next to the toilet area and the sink has a mirror with its own upper spotlight.

This rural accommodation is located in Villar De Huergo, a village of 184 inhabitants approximately. As you can see, due to the core of its population, it is a small town dotted with traditional houses and sheltered between the mountains of the Pyrenees.
Being in first contact with nature, it is an ideal place to practice hiking and get to know the place where the Reconquista began: Covadonga. Just over 10 km separate us from the municipality of Infiesto and there the Sanctuary, the lakes Enol and Ercina, as well as the Cueva Santa.

In addition to its historical character, the surroundings hold some cultural points that show that, before us, our Paleolithic ancestors and the great giants, the dinosaurs, lived here. You can see all this in the Cueva del Tito Bustillo and in the Jurassic Museum of Asturias.
Although we are fans of homemade food, just 200 meters away you can eat at typical restaurants in the area and, why not, toast with a glass of cider.
