El Palomar

This rural accommodation is located in the town of Granatula De Calatrava, in Ciudad Real. All its rooms demonstrate their years of history through architecture, furniture, tiles and decoration. We have carried out its restoration not long ago, although preserving all these elements that make it unique and peculiar.

It has space to accommodate 10 people. And so that they can stay comfortably, they will have 4 rooms, in which you will find double beds in 3 of them, and single beds in the other 4

For personal hygiene you will have 3 bathrooms that will be distributed throughout the house and have all their toilets.

The most modern touch is provided by the kitchen by having the appliances that will surely make your stay much easier, both for preparing food and for washing clothes, since you will also find a washing machine. Despite this equipment, it does not leave aside its appearance and rural style. In it you will also be able to have breakfast or coffee, since we have prepared a small table for this.

Separately, there is a little room in which you can be with your loved ones chatting or watching TV. As well as a much larger dining table, and where in addition to a fireplace that will air condition the room there is a sink so you don't have to go to the kitchen.

There are several interior and exterior patios where you can take in the fresh air, where for example you will see a well, vegetation and furniture on a completely paved floor that contrasts with the blue and white of the façade.

In the outdoor garden areas you will find a swimming pool that will be available during the summer months. And nearby is a barbecue where you can prepare those delicious barbecues, also a great plan for the summer season. We preserve a gigantic dovecote in this area, which we keep in perfect condition.

Granátula de Calatrava is located in the central area of Ciudad Real and has around 800 inhabitants. Formed in a valley and with the presence of different volcanic formations. Precisely its urban center is located inside what was the crater. 

From here the archaeological sites stand out, specifically 2, that of La Encantada, where you can still see the walls and some of their homes; and that of Oreto and Zuqueca, from the Middle Ages. 

Other historical constructions that remain in the town are, for example, a Roman bridge that was built in the 1st century, a hermitage in honor of the Virgin of Oreto y Zuqueca, from the 13th century, or the Church of Santa Ana, from 3 centuries later.
