Casa Santa Margarita

The rural house has been standing since the 18th century, but currently it is completely rehabilitated and renovated so that the 10 people who come to visit us are comfortable and come back.

We are 6 and a half kilometers from Santa Pau, a small municipality located in the province of Girona.

The house has 5 double bedrooms. These rooms can contain either a double bed or 2 single beds. Bed has its own bed and wooden headboard. In addition, 3 of these bedrooms have anintegrated bathroom, while the other 2 have to share the service.

Of the bathrooms, the shared one has a bathtub, although they are all complete. It is worth noting that each bathroom has towels and a hair dryer.
The living room and dining room make up the same room. It is a double-height room separated by a paves wall. Going up the steps you will find the living room, made up of a sofa and 2 armchairs, a coffee table and television. On the other side of the wall is the dining table with enough chairs for 10 people. There is also a cabinet with drawers where the tablecloths, etc. are located.

The kitchen is independent. It has a microwave, washing machine, and other appliances. From it you can access the exterior porch. Also in this room there is a clothesline for freshly washed clothes.

There is the possibility that we will provide you with a cribor extra bed.

The exterior consists of a porch furnished with garden tables and chairs, as well as sun loungers. This space is complete with the barbecue that you will find there.

Santa Pau was originally a medieval town and proof of this is the castle. The fortification was built in the 13th century. And for sightseeing in our surroundings we recommend:

• Our well-known volcanic area in the Natural Park, full of rivers, reservoirs and large mountains that will leave you impressed. The Garrotxa is one of the few volcanic areas of the peninsula.

• Olot is one of the nearby municipalities of great importance. It is an ideal place to go to eat, because you will love its grilled meat or potatoes.

• Besalú is another of these important municipalities. It's only half an hour away. It is also of medieval origin and preserves a castle and the city itself is accessed by crossing an old bridge.

• We are at the foot of the Croscat and Santa Margarita volcanoes the most iconic of the La Garrotxa Natural Park.

• And on the way to the la Fageda d'en Jorda beech forest where the la Fageda cooperative is located, a nice visit to the yogurt production farm.
