Casa Rural La Cigüeña

La Cigüeña is a rural house that belongs to the Molino Río Alájar complex. It is located in the Huelva town of Alájar, on the banks of the river of the same name.

This house has capacity for 4-6 people divided into the two floors that this accommodation has.

The façade responds to the mountain characteristics of the area. Native stone has been used to cover its walls and chestnut wood for its interiors and decorations. A nice contrast is created between the reddish stone and the orange of the La Cigüeña tiles.

Outside we have a small patio with views of the entire complex as well as the river and the mountains that surround us. Here we can have pleasant conversations with family or with our group of friends. We also have a shared pool where we can cool off when the heat hits.

On the ground floor there is a simple but fully equipped kitchen decorated with wooden details. Next to this we find a small dining room with capacity for 6 people.

The living room has comfortable sofas where we can gather around the fire in the wood-burning fireplace and a wooden staircase that connects to the upper floor. Of course, it also has a television and DVD player.

On this floor there is also a bedroom with a double bed. As a unique feature, it is worth mentioning that it has access to the patio and the rest of the areas of the house.

In the upper part there are two other rooms with two independent beds each. They are decorated with dark wood and have sloping ceilings.

La Cigüeña is located in the municipality of Alájar, in the Sierra de Aracena, one of the highest altitudes in the province of Huelva. It is bathed by the waters of the homonymous river. This river also bathes the houses of our rural complex so a visit is more than guaranteed. This offers endless possibilities such as walks up the river and visiting the numerous springs and waterfalls that exist.

It is undoubtedly worth visiting the Peña de Arias Montano, an area where the humanist Benito A. Montano lived temporarily, which today bears his name and where an original monument has been erected. The views of the town from here are great.
