Casa de La Tortuga

The rural house is located in the complex Molino del Río Alájar next to the bed of said river. We are located in the Huelva municipality of Alájar.

The façade of this building stands out for the use of bricks and stones on its walls and for the large windows that dominate the walls. Thanks to this, La Tortuga becomes the brightest rural house.

It has a capacity of 5 people.

Outside there is a patio where you can relax with views of the mountains that surround the rural home. You can also enjoy a good swim in the complex's shared pool or play tennis on the court.
The large windows provide incredible light and views of the area. Under these we find a dining table with capacity for 6 people. In the same room we find a cozy living room furnished with comfortable sofas where you can relax around the fire of the wood-burning fireplace.

Next to this room is the kitchen, carefully decorated. The 3 rooms are located in the same open area. The brown stoneware on the floor matches the brick details and tile murals on the walls of the room. All the furniture in the living room is made of restored antique wood. In contrast, the sink is made of white stone. The appliances that you can count on are: oven, microwave, stove, etc., in addition to housing a glass cupboard and several cabinets and drawers.

In the rural house there are a total of 2 rooms. One of them has a double bed decorated with a stained glass window. On the upper floor is where the second room is located. This is a triple, with single and separate beds, with access to the patio. It is decorated with a marble column and a dark wooden ceiling.

This house has the advantage of having one with a private terrace and barbecue. 

The town of Alájar has various historical monuments that are worth visiting. The town is born from the Church, being its nerve center. It dates back to the 18th century and is made up of 3 vaulted naves.  It has 2 hermitages of lesser importance but of equal artistic value.

There is a monument, which although it has the name peña, is not a rock construction. In reality it is a facade with white holes with 3 bells at the top.

Aracena, a town 15 km away, is very visited due to the castle it houses, and from which you can see the typical white Andalusian facades. 

In case it seems insufficient, very close you can also visit The Sierra de Aracena and the Picos de Aroche or the Gruta de las Maravillas.
