Can Garganta

Can Garganta is a Catalan farmhouse located in the Girona municipality of Centenys. This accommodation was built in the 17th century.

The house respects its traditional stone walls, a material that is also used for the walls that delimit the rural complex.

Outside there is a 1400m² garden that surrounds the farmhouse where the pool is located and a large interior porch where the barbecue and a wooden table are located for your enjoyment.

Can Garganta is distributed in 2 floors capable of accommodating a total of 6 people distributed in 3 double rooms with the possibility of adding cribs for babies. The entire house is in a characteristic style of the area with exposed stone walls.

The lower floor consists of a large hall with a cobbled arch and a room for 2 people with a separate bathroom. It also has a living room with careful decoration and annex to the outdoor patio.

On the second floor we find a dining room for 8 people and a fully equipped kitchen. On the other hand, it has two double rooms with a full bathroom.

On the outside porch, a small collection of farming implements and tools for raising livestock are displayed, turning this space into a small museum worthy of admiration.

In the municipality of Esponella, among other things, its pumpkin festival stands out, where every year the largest pumpkin is awarded.

Near the rural house we can find Lake Bañolas, considered the largest lake in Catalonia and which has its own legend about a monster in the purest style of Lake Ness.

Regarding the culture of the area, there are various historical sites such as the Parish Church of Sant Feliu de Fontcoberta, the Fontcoberta Bell Tower, or the Parish Church of Vilavenut.
