La Quintana del Gallo II

In Terienzo, an Asturian neighborhood belonging to the municipality of Selorio, is this traditional Asturian farmhouse.

Referring to its name, it is a peasant farm made up of different connected units. The farm is surrounded by green and its most representative insignia is the granary. After years of disuse, we decided to rehabilitate it and use it for leisure and rest for those seeking natural experiences in the north.

In its transformation process, we wanted to maintain its original structure, giving prominence to the stone of its façade and the wooden beams that decorate the ceilings. Despite this, its rooms are warm and are provided with everything we use in our daily lives. 

With a capacity for 5 people, the house is the perfect option for families with children, as it is surrounded by a large area of land in which the leisure possibilities are diverse.

The external door leads us along a paved path towards the front of the house. A wide expanse of grass, palm trees and other plantations that decorate the entrance and where there is space to park one or several cars.

It is divided into 2 levels. On the ground floor there is the kitchen and the living room, connected rooms as there are no partitions between them. Its stone and brick walls along with the sofas and furniture in the room contribute to greater harmony in the room. The room is completed by one of the bathrooms equipped with a shower tray.

On the first floor are the 3 bedrooms and the second bathroom, this one with a bathtub. The largest room has a balcony that connects to the gallery, from where you can see the back garden of the house. A large space that has a table and chairs to enjoy the home during good weather.

The La Quintana estate is located in one of the protected environments of Asturias, theRía de Villaviciosa. 

Also belonging to this area is Rodiles Beach, an expanse of sand and water surrounded by a pine forest where it is possible to spend the day and have lunch at the picnic area. 

If you prefer an inland plan, be sure to visit Covadonga, within the Picos de Europa Park and whose main attraction is the Sanctuary and the Lakes.
