La Quintana del Gallo I

This traditional Asturian farmhouse is located in the Asturian municipality of Selorio, specifically in the Terienzo neighborhood. It is a characteristic quintana of the rural centers of Asturias whose rehabilitation has turned it into a place of recreation and rest for those who come to discover the landscapes of the north. 

In its transformation process, we wanted to maintain the original structure, in which stone or wood are the main materials, both in its façade and in the interior rooms. 

With a capacity for 4 people, the house is the perfect option for families with children, as it is surrounded by a large area of land with multiple leisure options.

A paved road, where it is possible to park cars, leads us to the house. Lawn, palm trees and other plantations decorate the entrance to the home in a space in which the centennial granary takes center stage.

The main house is divided into 2 floors, the first being the place where the kitchen and living room are located. Two connected spaces in which there is no shortage of the dining table and a comfortable sofa from which to watch television.

From the living room you can access a small porch that overlooks the back of the house. 

It is on the upper floor where the 2 bedrooms are located, one of them with a double bed and the second with 2 single beds. Bright rooms with a balcony and views of the rear garden that share a bathroom with space for a bathtub.

More than 150 species of birds and plants live in the Ría de Villaviciosa, a protected area in which the farm is located.

Next to it, just 2 kilometers away, is Rodiles Beach. Approximately 1 kilometer of sandy beach where water sports are frequently practiced. Spending the day here is possible thanks to the tourist offer that the environment offers, where there is also space for a picnic area in the pine forest located at the bottom of the beach.

Also known as the Jurassic Coast, many of the rocks that form the cliffs from Gijón to Ribadesella still preserve the footprints of the first dinosaurs.
