La Pallissa

Our rural house is located in Chodos, a Castellon municipality belonging to the Alcalatén region, in the interior area of ​​the province. 

The municipality is located 60 kilometers from Castellón de la Plana, which makes it a perfect destination for weekend or short-term getaways. 

The house has capacity for a maximum of 6 guests. Its interior is spread over 3 floors. Let's start with the ground floor, where they are located:

• Aliving-dining room. Upon entering the house you will be surprised by a large space that serves as a living room and kitchen. In the living room, you will find a fireplace to warm up on the coldest days and sofas and armchairs to watch television. In addition, it has several side tables and children's games for the little ones.

• A kitchen integrated into the living room. In the kitchen area there are cupboards and wooden countertops arranged along one of the walls to take advantage of the maximum possible space. In it you will find all types of appliances, from a washing machine to a refrigerator or ceramic hob. For eating, it has a large central table matching the rest of the furniture. The kitchen also has direct access to the patio of the house. 

Going up to the first floor, you will find:

• 2 double rooms, one of them with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. The rooms are decorated in a simple and functional way, so that you have everything you may need during your stay. 

• A single room, convertible into a double room if you request to add an additional bed. Like the rest of the rooms, it has bedside tables and a wardrobe. 

• Afull bathroom, where you will find a toilet, sink with mirror and towels. 

On the top floor is the attic, a space where there is a large bookshelf with books for all tastes and a stretcher table to enjoy reading or the views of the exterior. 

Once you leave the house, you will access the patio with a lush garden, one of the best kept secrets of this house. If you need to leave the house you will have a wonderful panoramic view of the Peñagolosa Natural Park, a mountainous area that reaches its maximum altitude at 1,813 meters. 

If you like hiking, we recommend climbing to the top, since from there you will see several regions of Castellón and some municipalities of Aragon.

In addition, there is the sanctuary of San Juan de Peñagolosa, a pilgrimage point that is witness to several pilgrimages that are celebrated in the area. 

After the route through the countryside, we recommend that you take a walk through the municipality and discover the secrets that its streets hide. In Chodos you will find several monuments of interest such as the Chodos Castleor El Callís, a tower located in an area of ​​ancient walls.
