El Refugi de Maestrat

Our rural house is located in the urban area of ​​the municipality of Cervera del Maestre, in the northern area of ​​the province of Castellón. 

This municipality is located about 75 kilometers from Castellón de la Plana and 150 from Valencia, which makes it a perfect destination for both short and long stays.

The house has a capacity for a maximum of 12 guests. It is divided into 2 accommodations that communicate with each other:

• The lower floor accommodation accommodates a maximum of 4 guests.

• The upstairs accommodation can sleep up to 8 people. 

The homes can be rented jointly or separately in order to adapt to the needs of each group. As a whole, the house has the following rooms:

• 2 living-dining rooms. The walls of the living rooms take on special prominence, as they reveal the stone walls of the original construction. In each of them you can find comfortable sofas where you can enjoy long talks with your friends, as well as television and a dining table to enjoy the typical products of the area's gastronomy.  In addition, they have a wood stove for the winter. 

• 2 kitchens. The kitchens are fully equipped with large appliances such as a refrigerator, ceramic hob or washing machine, and small appliances such as a microwave. They have all kinds of utensils for cooking, such as pots, pans or skimmers. In addition, there is complete cutlery and crockery. 

• 5 double bedrooms. The bedrooms are decorated in a very pleasant rustic style where you will undoubtedly enjoy a well-deserved rest. 3 of them have a double bed, while the remaining 2 have 2 beds of 90 cm each. In addition, you can add2 extra beds. 

• 3 full bathrooms. The bathrooms have a sink with mirror and toilet, 2 of them have a shower tray, while the third has a large bathtub. There is no shortage of basic toiletries, such as towels.

The municipality of Cervera is located in a mountainous area with peaks that reach over 500 meters above sea level, such as Los Revoltones or La Mola.

Without a doubt, it is a perfect environment for active tourism and sports such as horseback riding or bicycle excursions. 

In addition, a few kilometers away is the Mediterranean coast. In just a few minutes you can reach the beaches of Vinaroz or Peñiscola to enjoy the days of sun and heat. 

If what you want is to do some tourism, among the streets of the municipality there are numerousmonuments of interest such as the hermitage of San Sebastián or theParish Church.
