Description of La Casita del Río
Our accommodation is located within the Basque province of Álava, where you will be able to enjoy nature in the town of Sabando.
You are in front of a fairy house in which you will be surprised by the atmosphere of typical Nordic houses, surrounded by a space full of forests, rivers and waterfalls.
The house was built to enjoy the earthly paradise on weekends.
In 2015 it was prepared for rental.
The house has space for 7 people inside (and an extra extra bed), and its structure is divided into 2 floors where the green and white façade will undoubtedly surprise you.
The house consists of:
- A large living room at the entrance, which has a set of armchairs on one side, all of which face the front where the wood-burning fireplace is located, which will provide a warm and homely atmosphere to the area. On the other side, awooden table with white lacquered chairs so you can all eat together.
- A complete kitchen, made of wood and with all the appliances and utensils that are distributed throughout its structure, and that will allow you to cook in the best conditions.
- 2 full bathrooms with the best conditions, of which one of them has a bathtub, and the other has a shower. Each one is located on a floor, and hastowel sets.
- 4 rooms of which 3of them have a double bed, including one, the optional Finnish sauna. The third room has 2 single beds in the form of a bunk bed.
Already in theouter areas, we have:
- Large porch with table and chairs.
- Garden equipped with fruit trees, and a greenhouse.
- Barbecue and a gazebo.

I dedicate myself to the construction of eco -efficient and ecological houses, since 1997.
I am also a writer and poet.
It is a story house in which the little ones will be delighted, living a magical and unforgettable experience.
It is a very cozy Finland inspiration house, which is also next to a river, so this location entails: a feeling of peace and tranquility that you will not find elsewhere.
Ideal for hiking, rappel.
Very Serca is the Izki National Park and the golf course of the same name.
In the town of Maeztu (7 kms) there are municipal pools.
Perfect to make bicycle routes along the green route of the old road of the Basque-Navarro, which will take you to Estella (Navarra).

Our accommodation is located within the province of Álava, where you will be able to find calm in the town of Sabando where we are.
It is a space full of charm. The house and the farm are next to a river. You will hear its soft and relaxing sound in the garden, where you will be able to enjoy the best views, and a lot of natural elements that are very close to the house, such as waterfalls, lagoons, forests, mountains...
In the surrounding area it is possible to practice active tourism, and without traveling too much, as it has a set of hiking and mountain routes so you can enjoy it first hand.
