Sourroundings of Garaiko Etxea II
The house is located at Erratzu, a village of the Valley of Baztán that borders France. In the surroundings of the town you can see several paleolithic dolmens that witness the passing of the nomadic man of prehistory. From this town a circular path that culminates in the waterfall Xorroxin, an impressive waterfall that is considered one of the jewels of this area.
Within the same valley are the Urdax Caves, a set of rooms and galleries formed thanks to the erosion over the centuries of the limestone rock by the Urtxume River. This river still travels these caves full of stalactites and stalagmites forming lagoons of spectacular beauty.
In the same area is the Natural Park Señorío de Bertiz, a protected area of 2040 hectares covered by meadows and forests. In the south area of the park there is the palace of the Señorío with the gardens, which gather a magnificent collection of plants with specimens from all over the world.
