Description of Casa Alquitara
It is a perfect accommodation to go with your family or with friends, enjoying the essence of the buildings in the area.
It has capacity for 7 people, who will be able to enjoy the following rooms during the holidays, all of them fully equipped:
- A complete kitchen-dining room in which the blue details combine with the stone present in the room. Spread out on the counter the set of appliances and kitchenware with which you will be able to make your favorite dishes. Next to it, the dining table where you can gather around a good meal.
- A large living room in which we have a set of armchairs that face the front where in addition to having the plasma television, you will enjoy the heat of its wood-burning fireplace.
- 4 spacious bedrooms well equipped with all types of furniture. They are distributed so that 2 of them have a double bed, while the third has a pair of single beds, and the last one has a single bed.
- 2 complete bathrooms, in which you will not lack comforts, and where the bathtub and shower are located, for which we leave you several sets of towels.
On the exterior, it consists of:
- A patio at the entrance, which is paved and has furniture.
- A barbecue for cooking outdoors.

We are a Masueco family who decided to restore the house where their ancestors have lived, retaining the traditional structure of the arrivals.
Our house is a typical house of the Arribes, restored, but that retains all the typical elements of the old traditional houses typical of the area. The house has only two floors, and with a large room on the low floor, so it is easily accessible to people with some type of disability. Our patio is, without a doubt, the most remarkable elment of the house, ideal for eating or simply to relax and enjoy the pleasant sun in a surrounding place of the wind and noise. Ideal also even in the sunny days of winter.
Each room is fully equipped (TV flat screen, musical thread and both bedding and towels and personal hygiene elements).
We also have barbecue, to enjoy a good meal both in the patio and inside the house. Can be used without any additional cost.
Essential is the visit to the famous waterfall of El Pozo de los Humos, which can be accessed directly from the town. If desired, much of the road can also be done by car.
However, in Masueco you can make other equal or ichter hiking routes than that of the fume well, such as the route of Unamuno and the horsetail waterfall.
Already in nearby villages you can visit the famous Picón de Felipe, Mirador del Fraile, Playa del Face (with the possibility of boat trip), all in the town of Aldeadávila de la Ribera, just 3 km from Masueco.
The closeness with Portugal offers multiple possibilities. They will be able to visit the neighboring country on routes south (Freixo) or to the north (Miranda or Mogarauro).
If they want to visit Salamanca or Zamora, both are a dist usk of just over an hour from Masueco.

This environment is ideal if you like nature, since it is part of the Arribes del Duero area, which offers one of the most beautiful panoramic views you can have.
