Apartamento Violeta - La Casa Grande de Albarracín

This rural complex of 8 apartments is located in the Arrabal neighborhood, in Albarracín, at the foot of the mountain range of the same name. It is the ideal place for excursions through the mountains enjoying the routes and landscapes offered by this natural environment or for walking through this beautiful town that has received several titles for its beauty.

El apartamento está situado en la planta baja de lo que antiguamente eran los establos de una masía y está completamente adaptado para personas con movilidad reducida y sillas de ruedas. It can accommodate up to4 people.

The apartment consists of 2 double bedrooms, one of them with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. Both bedrooms share a full bathroom located in the hallway whose shower has a wide entrance for wheelchairs to pass through.

The house also has a fully equipped kitchen decorated in violet tones to give guests a feeling of peace and tranquility in the kitchen that will allow them to make succulent dishes. The kitchen is open to the living room which is furnished with a comfortable sofa so that guests can relax after a day of excursions in the mountains watching television.

In addition, as part of the complex, guests can enjoy a common room on the ground floor that has soft sofas and a fireplace, in the warmth of which guests can gather to talk, plan visits or read by the fire. The house also has a common patio with a porch furnished with low armchairs that can serve as a reading area in the hottest months. The common spaces are completed by a garden in which to enjoy succulent breakfasts outdoors.

The apartment is located in Albarracín, a town of 1093 inhabitants located in the part of the mountain range of the same name that is located in the province of Teruel. It has been proposed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site because of the beauty of its historic center. In 1996 it was awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts and has been awarded the title of National Monument.

In the old town of this city is the Castle, built in the 11th century and abandoned in the 18th century after being inhabited by the city's rulers. It has been recently restored to prepare it for visits. The castle is surrounded by a medieval wall that also encloses an archaeological excavation of medieval remains. Outside the wall are the watchtowers of Doña Blanca and Andador.

In the mountains are the Pinares de Rodeno, a protected space so called because it is located on a soil of rodeno, red sandstone. The space covers 6,829 hectares and is inhabited by creatures such as the marten and the common squirrel.
