One of the Autonomous Communities with the most natural charm is Extremadura, and in it the Iberian Peninsula keeps some historical secrets as interesting as Medellín, the oldest town in the area.

This fortress rises on a hill and watches over all of Medellín from its towers. Centuries ago it was also a place of Roman settlement, the civilization that conquered half the world, and today you can visit the ruins of the Metellinum theater.
But if this town is characterized by something, it is by ecotourism, its natural environment is a beautiful landscape that combines forests, fields and rivers with paths that cross the terrain and river beaches where you can take a good dip in summer.
