Hotel Rural Martin

Cozy rural hotel of 10 rooms, in the charming thermal village of Baños de Montemayor, north of the province of Cáceres, on its border with Salamanca.

This lodging has for its guests the following types of rooms :

• The double is a spacious room with a double bed decorated in an eclectic style, but with austerity, in which the decorative elements are just the right ones so as not to disturb movement or disturb the rest that is intended to be achieved there. In the room we find a large full bathroom with a shower with a sink, although there are also baths with a bathtub. In some of the cases of this type of room there is a small balcony that overlooks the gardens that surround the hotel.

• The double with two twin single beds is the same as the single, but it gives us the option of not having to share a bed, because another person's sleeping may not be the same as ours or convenient for him. In this room decorated in an austere but not serious way, since we see that the wall behind the headboards has been wallpapered with a fantasy design wallpaper. On both sides of the beds we find bedside tables with reading lights. On the wall facing the foot of the beds is installed the television that we can watch with our head already resting on the pillow.

• There is an individual format, which is somewhat smaller than the doubles, but not much, it has just enough space and more than necessary for a single guest, of course it has a single-person bed, a wardrobe where we can store and put our belongings in order, like this like television and full bathroom just like the rest.

There is also the curious opportunity that the room is double in size but has a single single bed.
*All those with a larger area can be implemented with an extra bed .

The common areas that surround this hotel have well-cared garden areas with ornamental fountains.

Guests staying at the hotel would have rental services for bathrobes, mini-fridges and safes if necessary. The bicycles to which we can have access are from an external subsidiary service of this accommodation.

We are very lucky that the accommodation we have chosen is in a thermal villa or perhaps we have chosen it precisely for that reason and it is one of the main reasons why the public of visitors converges in this town. There are 2 spas in the town, one of character historical of Roman origin that was built in the 2nd century BC. around which a museum has been generated that speaks of this tradition but without losing its original use.

The other, taking advantage of the same natural resources of sulphurous and oligometallic waters that spring from the subsoil at 43 °C, is a 17th century building that has been reformed over time to give rise to the Gran Hotel, which is located on the edge of the Vía de la Plata, the old route of the Camino de Santiago that goes from the south of Spain to the religious capital in Galicia. In our accommodation, bathrobes are available for rent so that we can go to any of the above facilities in the most comfortable way.

Not far from here we can visit the beautiful town of Granadilla, a beautiful village of Muslim medieval origin with a citadel that stood over the waters of what is now the Gabriel y Galán reservoir, for which the population had to leave their home when the town was declared a flood risk area.
