Hotel El Nido

This lovely and unique rural hotel is located in the municipality of Alaró, in the western zone of the Isla de Mallorca. 

Specifically, it is geographically located at the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana, about 25 kilometers from Palma, the capital of the island. So you will be surrounded by a natural disconnection environment, but without being far from the main tourist and commercial nuclei.

The original construction of the Hotel Data de early twentieth century and is linked to a beautiful family history. Today is totally rehabilitated, but continues to maintain the charm of the past times.

The hotel has the capacity to accommodate 11 guests and has 5 double rooms with air conditioning.

In the rooms you will find one of the most comfortable beds in the world (Hypnos Beds), marriage or two individuals, with adapted bedding for both summer and winter, in addition to pillows and cushions that will guarantee a unique break.

Each room is decorated differently, but in all of them there are characteristic elements of the Mallorcan architecture, such as windows or roofs with wooden beams. 

Taking a tour of the common areas, you will find:

• A living room.  In this room we distinguish 2 spaces: a more modern space with nuclear white sofas with a crital table between them; and another more rural, with sofas in brown tones located around a chimney for the coldest days.

• A cafeteria.  In the cafeteria you can taste complete breakfasts with homemade products such as jams or biscuits.

• A garden with pool. A small sample of the beautiful vegetation on the island. 

The Sierra de Tramuntana is a natural space full of incredible places. Show this is that since 2011 his landscape was declared by UNESCO World Heritage. 

For those who like heights, the Sierra reaches its highest point in Puig Mayor, a mountain with almost 1,500 meters high that make it the highest on the island of Mallorca. 

If you want to take a walk to the water, inside there are 3 reservoirs: the Gorg Blau reservoir, the Cubser reservoir, and a third of military use. 

After the walk through nature, you can approach the urban center of Alaró, where you will find several bars and restaurants with typical island products.

For cultural tourism, we recommend you visit the Castillo de Alaró, from whose viewpoint you can observe the Bay of La Palma.
