Molino del Conde

The house is located at Alcalá de la Selva, a quiet village in the region of Gúdar-Javalambre. It is the ideal place to forget for a few days of the hustle and bustle of the city enjoying the countryside and the mountain.

The house is a XVIII century building that was used as a flour mill. It was remodeled in 2002 to be able to use it as a home, although it still maintains the entrance of water that put the mill into operation and provided the town with electricity, and part of the original machinery.

It is decorated in the traditional style of the area and has a maximum capacity of 14 people, distributed as follows:

• 5 bedrooms, 2 of them furnished with a double bed, another with 2 single beds and the remaining 2 with 4 beds each.

• 4 bathrooms fully equipped with shower tray to make it comfortable for all guests.

• A very spacious living room a table that can accommodate more than 20 people to organize dances, parties and activities of all kinds. The living room also has a sitting area and a fireplace to enjoy this luxury in winter.

• A modest library for guests to enjoy books they do not know or reread old classics.

• A furnished garden in which to enjoy succulent barbecues.

The house has central heating so that guests can regulate the temperature of the house to your liking and is optimal distance of the services more important.

Alcalá de la Selva is a locality of Teruel inhabited by 424 people. It is a small village located on the side of a mountain, so its streets are narrow and steep. From afar you can see their whitewashed houses with red roofs that gives a picturesque air. At the top of this town rises the Church of San Simón and San Judas, built in the sixteenth century in 3 naves with ribbed vaults.

Another important point in this villa is the Castillo de los Heredia, a medieval fortification built on Muslim ruins. At the moment the tower of the homage that has several floors of height is conserved. It has a rectangular floor plan, but it ends in a keel, which suggests that in addition to the defense it was used as a nobiliary residence.

On the outskirts of town, next to the football field, there is Piedra del Sapo. According to the legend, this stone can grant luck, health, money and love and if it is hit 3 times on a full moon night, it enhances the love ability of the person who hit it.
