Benasal, in Valencian Benassal, is a city that belongs to the province of Castellón. The primitive nucleus of this population is known as La Mola and is still partially surrounded by the defensive wall. To access this area you must cross a ogival arch of Arab origin. In this part there are still 2 old towers, one of them the prison, and some eighteenth century mansions that stand out among the narrow medieval streets.
To the outskirts of this city, but within the terms of the municipality, is the Castle of Corbó, built in the 12th century on the hill that rises above the city. A thousand-year-old legend connects this castle with a cave at the foot of the mountain by means of an underground passageway. Within the terms of this castle have been found remains of a settlement of the Bronze Age.
The city of Ribert is located in this area, surrounded by hundred-year-old oaks among which the guest will enjoy a leisurely stroll. 2 ravines full of water surround the town and offer a wonderful show at all times of the year.
