La Chimenea de Soria I

In the municipality of Espeja de San Marcelino we have built a large plot that is undoubtedly a paradise for spending a few days of vacation with the whole family together.

It is a house divided into 2 floors in which there are 2 different rural houses. You can rent them together or the one on the ground floor or the upper floor. You also have a garden and an exterior with numerous offerings, a swimming pool, swings, picnic areas and green areas.

When it was built, it followed the path of the previous house, so many existing beams and walls have been respected. Materials have been used that provide the rustic touch and it has also been decorated following that aesthetic but introducing modern and very useful decorative elements.

Our first house, La Chimenea de Soria I, is located on the upper floor of the house and we access it through the main street.

Among the many comforts that we can find inside are:

• The kitchen, integrated into the living room since it is American style. It has a wall of white tiles that provide a lot of light. The appliances are modern and very useful since you can cook all your meals without any problem. There is also enough kitchenware for all tenants. A dining table, made of wood and rectangular, provides a perfect touch to this area of the room.

• The living room is located right next to the kitchen, separated by thedining table. It has several sofas that revolve around the TV and at its feet there is a wood stove that is very useful on the coldest nights.

• We have a total of 4 bedrooms. The first has 2 double beds, the second has a double bed, the third with a double bed and a single bed and finally there is a room with 2 single beds. Everyone is perfectly prepared with sets of sheets and blankets. They have a lot of light thanks to their windows and the views are to the outside. The decoration is rustic with wooden furniture, the color is provided by the details in the rooms.

• We have 2 bathrooms that have a sink, toilet, bidet and shower. They also have a cabinet to leave your toiletries and we include towels for all tenants.

The exterior of the house, as we have already mentioned, is shared with the other accommodation. It is a garden that surrounds the entire house which gives a lot of freedom and security, especially if you come with children or pets. There is a playground and a swimming pool for the little ones to play safely. For the elderly we have set up a picnic area that also has a barbecue for exclusive use.

Also, when the group is large, 19 people, they can rent both houses, then it is as if it were a first and a ground floor, an internal staircase connects them.

Our beautiful municipality, Espeja de San Marcelino, is the perfect place to begin various routes through Soria in which you will visit beautiful places. Within the town you can visit the Our Lady of the Assumption church, as well as the ruins of the Jeronimos Monastery.

The first point of interest and the one with the most tourists is the Natural Park Río Lobo Canyon. We can access it from various places and routes, it is a very entertaining excursion that will end in this impressive place. Among the mountains we can see the hermitage of San Bartolomé, it dates back to the 13th century and is Romanesque. It is very curious to see something so small surrounded by the walls of the canyon.

Another of the beautiful routes that we recommend is through the Campos de Castilla, as Machado's book said. Places of interest such as the Costalago Viewpoint, the Ucero Castle, a defensive construction that is in the town of Ucero and is on the bank of the river of the same name, or also the medieval town of Calatañazor which also has a 14th century castle of which we can see certain remains still standing.
