Description of La Casona de Ortigosa
This rural house, described in the following lines, is located in the province of Ávila, more specifically in the small village of IX Ortigosa de Rioalmar, which with its small population of about 36 inhabitants, and the spectacular surroundings, we leave a feeling of feeling at home.
As we approach we find a facade of 2 floors built in discovered stone, which gives a rustic touch. Surrounding it we have a courtyard, also in stone, where we can enjoy the food we prepare in the barbecue exterior, thanks to the covered picnic, being accompanied in the summer months by a portable pool.
With a maximum capacity of 9 people, the stays inside the house are the following:

- 4 bedrooms, decorated in white, giving a tone of tranquility and rest that gives prominence to natural light. 3 of them are double and the fourth is triple. All are accompanied by wooden furniture to unpack our bags.
- 2 full bathrooms, with toilets in perfect condition and having all the details that will make our stay more comfortable. One of them is inside the triple bedroom and the other, is common to the rest of the rooms, with bathtub and a couple of toilets to which we must add the towels that we leave for more comfort during your stay.
- In the plant, we found a diaphanous area, which was commonly called the sobrao, completely built in visible wood, in which the lounge, with a sofa in front of the television, a dining room con tables and chairs also of wood and a kitchen, fully equipped con all appliances that we may miss. From this room you can directly access the patio thanks to external stairs. The sofas that are in this area are sofa beds, so they could sleep up to 4 more people.

This rural house belongs to the small village of X Ortigosa de Rioalmar, one of the two cores, together with Manjabálago, which make up the municipality of Avila, having a population that does not exceed 50 inhabitants, which will favor us in terms of rest and the tranquility that we so desire.
For nature lovers, we are located in an esplanade from which all nature can be observed, as if it were a catalog of magic corners, so we can plan our daily getaways in which to renew ourselves with pure air. In summer we can always get close to the River Almar or the Gamonal Reservoir to freshen up.
Almost compulsory is the visit to the beautiful city of Ávila, where you can soak up the culture, the art and especially the gastronomy, taking the cochinillo as the jewel in the crown.
