La Casa del Herrero

In Teruel, specifically in the Villa de Calamocha, is this old barn, currently rehabilitated and converted into rural accommodation.

Spacious, bright and fully heated, the house has the capacity to accommodate up to 8 people.

The façade covered in stone and with large wooden windows communicates with the garden. Space that has a comfortable rocker from which it is possible to enjoy pleasant naps outside the house. A colorful space thanks to its plantations and the greenery of the grass. You will find a covered porch with a table and a sink to comfortably enjoy the outdoor barbecue. 

With all the comforts of today's homes and without losing the essence of its own nature, all the rooms on the ground floor are equipped so that they can be accessed by people with reduced mobility.
The fully equipped kitchen is integrated into the living-dining room. The 3 rooms are compacted into one as there are no partitions between them. It is a comfortable corner that has a dining table, fireplace and comfortable sofas in which to spend long afternoons.

Each of the 4 bedrooms that are distributed over the two floors have been decorated personally. They are spacious, bright and all have television and a full bathroom. 

If there is something special about the house, it is the unique staircase leading up to the first floor, as it was built by recycling wood used to make the tracks on which the train passes.

Within the Jiloca Region the Villa de Calamocha is located, where our accommodation is located. The historical legacy of a place is of great tourist attraction, where visiting its Roman Bridge or walking through its streets are a pleasant discovery for the senses.

Its dedication to water during the last century has meant that it currently concentrates numerous architectural elements such as laundries, fountains or mills that are worth visiting.

And as it could not be otherwise being in the lands of Teruel, there are many establishments that offer typical gastronomic tastings of the region, such as the renowned ham, borage or ternasco, for the most exquisite palates.
