La Casa de Tía Matilde

Granite facade and large wooden windows characterize this traditional country house located in the Salamanca municipality of Pereña de la Ribera.  inside they will be able to house up to 6 people. 

Despite having been rehabilitated, housing retains the traditional character of its structure. Its front facade is chaired by a central balcony with a beautiful lattice whose windows are protected from light by traditional wooden blinds. 

Built to 2 heights, is part of perfection in the architectural aesthetics of the municipality. In addition, the taste for traditional crafts has led us to show different tillage tools in each of the corners of the house and to organize exhibitions of artisan products in the region. 

thick stone walls make the house a warm place in winter and fresh in summer. In addition to being equipped with heating there are 2 chimneys distributed throughout the common areas. 

The main space of the ground floor is occupied by the brick kitchen and the living room, a comfortable space with wicker armchairs placed near the fireplace. What was formerly the winery, today has been rehabilitated as a gallery, from whose crystals the stone courtyard is seen. 

The 3 bedrooms and the bathroom are distributed on the upper floor. Wooden ceilings and floors, stone walls and large cabinets that make them cozy spaces.

Many are the tourist possibilities offered by the region of the Arribes. Paths to travel by car or on foot, in which to discover landscapes such as the cascades of the UCES River as it passes through Pereña or the cows
The viewpoint of the hermitage of Our Lady of the Castle is a balcony with spectacular views to the Arribes del Duero, where hopefully you can contemplate eagles flying over the river. 

If something characterizes this region of Castile, it is the conservation of traditional elements such as the shots of stone or the vettones castros like that of the castle or Las Merchanas both open to the public.
