La Casa de las Abuelas

The House of Las Abuelas is a rural accommodation located in the town of Chinchón, in the Community of Madrid.

Its facilities allow groups of up to 32 people, so it is the perfect option to spend a vacation in the best company. Meetings of friends and family celebrations have a place in our accommodation.

One of the most complete rural houses, with many amenities and small quirks in their rooms that give it a special charm. In spite of being adapted spaces to the current customs, it was wanted to conserve that yes, certain wild air that remembers to the visitor the surroundings in which it is.

A total of 16 bedrooms are distributed on the three floors of the house. We decided to put names of trees and are distinguished from each other by the tone of its walls and furniture distribution.

We went on to describe the spaces:

• 10 double bedrooms, decorated with rustic details on the walls and very bright with a window.

• 3 triple bedrooms that keep the same characteristics as the double ones.

• 3 single bedrooms, equipped with tables and the typical table stretcher. They also have windows to look out in the morning to contemplate the views of the environment.

• A total of 10 bathrooms and toilets, with facilities adapted to people with reduced mobility.

• SPA, without doubt one of the most striking areas of this stay where you will enjoy moments of relaxation in the sauna, jacuzzi or Turkish bath.

• Room with fireplace, where to meet to watch television or chat in the heat of firewood and with furniture designed for the comfort of visitors.

• Dining Room divided into two environments; one with an elongated table of large dimensions and another, connected with the first, with smaller tables of up to 4 people. Tillage implements are displayed on the walls of the estancia.

• Solarium, with a cover so that the sun does not disturb and allowing you to enjoy the views in a more open space.

• Games room, a perfect area to have fun, equipped with colorful tables, a sofa, television and games.

• Kitchen of industrial style with all the necessary domestic appliances as well as own household of this area of ​​the house.

• Terrace with barbecue to enjoy the views and group lunches.

• Gym ; for those who decide to take care of themselves during vacation time. It has a treadmill, rehabilitation bars and other types of machines.

• First aid kit and elevator to make the stay much more comfortable and go through all the floors of the house without losing time.

The whole house is adapted and it is accessible for people who need wheelchair.

The perfect option to spend some beautiful days of Christmas o enjoy the processions in Holy Week.

Some key points to cultural tourism and to know a little more about this area are:

• The Plaza Mayor ; space built in the Middle Ages that today gathers lugañeros and visitors in different activities, ranging from traditional bullfights to the celebrations populares.

• The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption que had to be restored based on the architectural guidelines of the previous one that was burned during a battle in 1808 and includes several styles like plateresco.

This town also has celebrations that are celebrated throughout the year as:

• The Passion of Holy Saturday, one of the most popular because of religious culture so rooted in zona.

• The festivities of Santiago Apóstol, in the month of July, where bullfighting shows are performed.

• The festivities in honor of the patrons, Our Lady of Grace and San Roque, in August.
