La Casa de las Abuelas

This house is a rural accommodation located in the town of Chinchón, in the Community of Madrid.

Its facilities can accommodate groups of up to 32 people, making it the perfect option to spend a vacation in the best company. Meetings of friends and family celebrations have a place in our accommodation.

One of the most complete rural houses, with a multitude of comforts and small whims in its rooms that give it a special charm. Despite being spaces adapted to current customs, they wanted to preserve a certain wild air that reminds the visitor of the environment in which they are located.

A total of 16 bedrooms are distributed over the three floors of the house. We decided to name them after trees and they are distinguished from each other by the color of their walls and the distribution of the furniture.

We move on to describe the spaces:

• 10 double bedrooms, decorated with rustic details on their walls and very bright as they have a window.

• 3 triple bedrooms that retain the same characteristics as the doubles.

• 3 individual bedrooms, equipped with bedside tables and the typical stretcher table. They also have windows to look out in the mornings to contemplate the views of the surroundings.

• A total of 10 bathrooms and toilets, with facilities adapted to people with reduced mobility.

• SPA, without a doubt one of the most striking areas of this room where you will enjoy moments of relaxation in the sauna, the jacuzzi or the Turkish bath.

• Living room with fireplace, where you can meet to watch television or chat over the heat of the firewood and with furniture designed for the comfort of visitors.

• Dining room divided into two environments; one with a large elongated table and another, connected to the first, with smaller tables for up to 4 people. Farming tools are displayed on the walls of the room.

• Solarium, with a cover so that the sun does not bother you and allowing you to enjoy the views in a more open space.

• Games room, a perfect area to have fun, equipped with colorful tables, a sofa, television and games.

• Industrial style kitchen with all the necessary appliances as well as kitchenware typical of this area of the house.

• Terrace with barbecue to enjoy the views and group lunches.

• Gymnasium; for those who decide to take care of themselves during vacation time. It has a treadmill, rehabilitation bars and other types of machines.

• First aid kit and elevator to make the stay much more comfortable and visit all the floors of the house without wasting time.

Some key points for cultural tourism and getting to know this area a little more are:

• The Plaza Mayor; space built in the Middle Ages that today brings together locals and visitors in different activities, ranging from traditional bullfights to popular celebrations.

• The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption which had to be restored based on the architectural guidelines of the previous one that was burned during a battle in 1808 and includes several styles such as plateresque.

This town also has festivals that are celebrated throughout the year such as:

• The Passion of Holy Saturday, one of the most followed due to the religious culture so deeply rooted in the area.

• The festivities of Santiago Apóstol, in the month of July, where bullfighting shows are held.

• The festivities in honor of the patron saints, Our Lady of Grace and San Roque, in August.
