La Casa de la Huerta

We offer our guests a house built more than 150 years ago (it was originally a farmhouse) in the town of La Horcajada, in the heart of the Sierra de Gredos.
Our accommodation was recently renovated and local materials have been used, mixing stone with exposed wooden beams, allowing us to preserve the essence and history of the house.

The first floor corresponds to the living room area (includes a small bar counter); a bathroom with a shower tray; a kitchen equipped with top quality appliances (you can even have a sandwich maker and deep fryer) and access to the garden (which has a swimming pool, barbecue area and paella pan).
The house has a total of 5 rooms, with total capacity for 10 people:

• 1 room with a double bed on the first floor
• 1 room with double bed and TV on the second floor
• 1 room with two single beds on the second floor
• 2 attic rooms with a double bed each.

We also have another bathroom on the upper floor with hot tub.

There is also the possibility of parking the car within our plot, located in the heart of the town.

It is important to note that rentals longer than 7 days include laundry service for bed linen, towels, etc...

The "Casa de la Huerta" offers a spectacular natural environment, surrounded byoaks, birches and poplars; as well as the possibility of observing mountain goats and fallow deer in the surroundings of the Sierra de Gredos.

Our future guests can take excursions to countless towns within a close distance of La Horcajada:

• Alba de Tormes (you can visit the tomb ofSaint Teresa of Jesús).
• Ávila (it is worth visiting its Roman wall and several churches from the Romanesque and Gothic era).
• Béjar (municipality founded in the 8th century).
• Guijuelo (a must see to acquire its ham with designation of origin).
