Eltzaburu is located in the Navarrean valley of Ultzama. It is a picturesque valley made up of mountains, streams and meadows with sheep, horses and cows grazing. In the same town is the Yeguada de Haras de Ultzama, which competes internationally, and several prehistoric dolmens.

This forest is one of the few remaining humid oak forests in the world today and is currently undergoing a natural regeneration process. Part of its 77 hectares is open to hikers, but the best way to see it is by following the local trail that surrounds it.
In the area you can take excursions to the Sierra de Aralar, a plateau whose majority part is in Navarra, but which also extends through Guipúzcoa. Thanks to the material of its mountains, limestone rock, this area is a hive of chasms, hills and caves that make this mountain landscape a unique place.
