Gredos Starlight House

If you are looking for a place to relax and reconnect with nature, this rural house in the small town of Mijares in Ávila is ideal for you.

We are in a magical place bathed by the starry sky at the foot of the Sierra de Gredo s, an authentic natural spectacle that will give you one of the best experiences of your life.

The accommodation can accommodate a maximum of 4 people and is divided into a single floor, also accessible to deaf people.

We want you to enjoy it to the fullest so it is oriented towards the mountains and its 70 m2 contain the following rooms:

• A living room with enough space that will welcome you to the heart of the home. It has a rustic design that gains strength in this area and envelops the space in a cozy atmosphere, with a wood-burning fireplace that will keep you warm in winter.

As soon as you enter, the living room houses a large L-shaped sofa in front of a Smart TV where you can follow the thread of your favorite series and have a good movie marathon with a bowl of popcorn. Later you will see that there is a telescope at your complete disposal, with it you will be able to identify the constellations and even see the Milky Way.

There is also a furnished dining room, perfect for sharing the after-dinner meal and creating new moments with your favorite people. The house is ideal to come with friends or as a couple, you choose.

• The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make you feel at home and test your culinary skills. It has appliances of different sizes such as the oven or the coffee maker, since you all love this drink. The kitchenware is distributed on the counter in a very varied way, also with tableware for all diners. It is loaded with details, it even has pockets for the comfort of your pet.

• 2 Bedrooms that invite you to relax between the sheets. One of them with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds, each one with its own personality. Both have independent entrances and closets where you can store your luggage, with ironing accessories to pamper your clothes.

The main room is a romantic refuge, perfect for sharing as a couple and with beautiful views of the natural landscape. You will feel like you are in a dream thanks to the decoration that matches the harmony of the home.

The secondary room is ideal for children, with lights that honor the nickname that the Sierra de Gredos receives, such as Star Reserve. In addition, there is an art gallery where you can buy the paintings if you wish.

• The bathroom is made up of small tiles with touches of vegetation and has a a shower for the toilet. Meanwhile, the furniture is made of marble with original mirrors over the sink. We have included towel sets and essentials so that your only concern is relaxing.

Already on the outside you will find a large porch with a terrace that has views of the mountains. To admire them in detail we have binoculars, also for sighting the birds that fly over this area.

You can breathe fresh air while chatting with your companions about the chill out and the hanging hammocks; or if you prefer, cook a delicious barbecue with local products on the grill, and then share the result in the dining room exterior.

The best of all is that your pet will be welcome since we love animals and we are petfriendly. We will be happy to have you all here! *In the winter season, firewood has an extra cost per day. This charge is paid directly to the provider since it is an external service. Not required. **There is a cleaning fee that is paid directly to the accommodation as well as the pet supplement. ***The deposit is managed directly with the accommodation.

The Sierra de Gredos offers hundreds of different activities to enjoy its surroundings, a strategic enclave framed by mountains and surrounded by incredible natural beauty.

If you like hiking, this is the ideal place to enter the slopes and discover every magical corner, on the banks of the river and in the tranquility of the forest. You can do it on foot or by bicycle, although keep in mind that due to its position there are several steep slopes.

Additionally, in summer there are natural pools where you can cool off among the trees and the birds singing. But without a doubt the strong point is the starry sky of Ávila, as it lacks light pollution and is a spectacle for the eyes.
The accommodation is located in the town of Mijares, in the heart of the Tiétar valley. You can walk through its old streets and admire the historic center, which maintains some of the traditional houses in caves or built in granite and narrow sloping streets.

Also in the town there are several restaurants where you can try local meat-based cuisine, you will love it.
