Description of Fogar do Selmo
Our rural house is at Rois, exactly at Casal do Poño, A Coruña.
It is a old house, which once housed the farmers and field workers. It is a typical construction, but has been reformed. Some of the original parts have been preserved, such as stone walls, wooden beams and even a castro from the Celtic period located in the courtyard. However, there are parts that have been renovated, giving the house a really original look, combining new elements, such as large windows, with other old.
We have 10 double rooms, all with bathroom included, which can be reserved individually or in groups. This way, 20 people can fit in the entire house.
The common spaces are wide and practical, but, above all, rustic and beautiful.
We have 2 living rooms: in both there are soft and comfortable armchairs to relax and, in addition, television. They also have a library, with material for guest use. There you can also find information about the area.
Another room that you can use is the dining room, with several tables and chairs to fit everyone: a perfect space to meet.
In addition, the house has a restaurant , where you can taste the best dishes of the area, with local products and top quality. It is about cuisine of origin and respecting the genre.
In the outside, we have a large garden, with lots of grass, trees and flowers.
In a fenced enclosure and a little further away, there is the pool. It has been fenced to increase security in case children are housed, so that there is no danger and can play freely on the plot.
