We are located at Villafeliz de Babia, a small village in León that does not exceed 50 inhabitants. It is located in the center of the Cantabrian Mountains very close to one of the highest mountains: Peña Ubiña. The village is surrounded mainly by limestone landscapes with formations such as dolines, lapiaces and chasms, full of rook nests. On the banks of the River Luna, a trout river, forests and pastures can be found.
Near this area you can visit the lakes of Saliencia, in the province of Asturias. These lakes, which are called Calabazonsa or Lago Negro, La Cueva, Laguna de Almagrera or La Mina and Cerveriz, are part of the Somiedo Natural Park. All these lakes were formed because of the erosion of a glacier and are surrounded by gentian. They serve as a refuge for animals such as the otter or the Alpine triton.
Geology lovers can visit the cave of Valporquero, a series of galleries and caves from which you can visit 6 rooms of extraordinary geological formations. Some of these formations have received names, since they recall objects or places, such as "The organ" or "The Bath of Diana".
