El Mirador de la Covatilla

Alluding to its name, this viewpoint house with unbeatable views, is located at the highest point of the Salamanca municipality of Guijo de Ávila, from where you can contemplate the fullness of the Béjar mountain range.

It is located inside a plot of land measuring more than 2,500 meters, which makes it the ideal place for those seeking the tranquility that the environment will provide.

It is a spectacular recently built home that has been able to combine in its spaces the tradition and rustic style of its careful decoration with the modernity and practicality of each element to provide an unforgettable stay for the visitor.

Its rooms are distributed over 3 floors:

• The ground floor welcomes us with an outdoor patio. Inside is the kitchen, spacious and bright like the rest of the floor. We also find the living-dining room, a versatile room where you can enjoy lunch on your old threshing floor converted into a table or rest in the heat of the fireplace. If the weather is good, the living room connects with an outdoor terrace whose views make it a perfect viewpoint. The floor is completed by 2 double bedrooms and a fully equipped bathroom.
• A nice hall on the first floor leads to 2 other attic double rooms with small windows through which light passes and to a second bathroom.
• The basement is the star floor of the home. The sauna and hot tub turn this space into a small Spa at the service of guests, where they can relax and contemplate the views from its huge window. The house has also been designed for the little ones, who can entertain themselves in the play area where they will find a table football, blackboards, toy houses...

Through the basement it is possible to access the interior garage of the house, as well as the exterior patio. The location and rooms of the home have been designed to make the most of and enjoy the environment. That is why the terrace becomes the preferred place for our guests to contemplate from the top of the Guijo hill the fullness of the Sierra de Béjar with the towns that form it. 

Less than 5 kilometers separate the house from Guijuelo, a municipality famous for its gastronomy in which ham is the king of Iberian sausages.

In the winter season, La Covatilla is the place chosen by ski lovers to enjoy a snow day with friends or family. The station has a cafeteria service as well as a large parking area to make the day more comfortable.
