El Gorgocil

Our rural house is located in the municipality of Puente del Congosto, province of Salamanca, next to the river Tormes and in the Sierra de Béjar.

It is a traditional village house, family heritage, we have wanted to remodel and restore to become rural accommodation and, in this way, everyone can enjoy its fantastic facilities and the wonderful location.

The façade exterior has masonry walls, stones that retain some of the interior walls as well. The decor is rustic, but with a very modern air that brings comfort and freshness.

The total capacity is for 9 people, spread over the 4 bedrooms that exist:

• On the floor below there is a marriage room, with a nice wooden headboard and windows with shutters.

• On the top floor are the other 3 bedrooms, one of them with a bed of 1.50 meters. The other 2 rooms have single beds and in one of them it is possible to add a extra bed.

The 3 bathrooms are the strong point of our house. There you will find the relaxation and peace you need in a good vacation. This will be achieved thanks to its installation: in one there is a great jacuzzi, while the others are not far behind, since both have shower with whirlpool column.

On the ground floor there is also a large room. It has several environments: first is the living room, with a few soft armchairs and chairs in front of the wood fireplace and the television de plasma. Next to it there is a dining area, with a long table and several chairs, to give shelter to all the guests of the house. This space also has a library with copies for adults and children and a collection of table games. We also provide you with a DVD player with a music chain with USB input. In this way, entertainment for adults and children is guaranteed.

The kitchen es American style, that is, is integrated into the living room. It is separated by a breakfast bar. It has all the very new appliances, stainless steel and with a high quality ceramic hob. There is also dishwasher, increasing comfort, and a cleaning room with washer and washer

The house also has a courtyard, all stone matching the rest of the set. There are outdoor furniture, a wrought iron table and chairs and stone benches. It also has bbq of work, covered with brick.

Undoubtedly, the environment is a fundamental part of our accommodation. To begin with, around the house is a y castle, on the other side, the church del del pueblo. In addition, the municipality passes the river Tormes and on it extends a beautiful bridge with arcades. Here is a area where it is allowed to bathe and take a dip, apart from enjoying the atmosphere and nature.

We are in full Sierra de Béjar and very close to the Sierra de Gredos, Jerte Valley so that is more characteristic landscape and countryside. The territories that surround our house have been declared Biosphere Reserve, so they form a wonderful place for our guests.

The towns near the Puente del Congosto are really worth it. You can visit, for example, La Alberca or Piedrahita, with much history and heritage to take a walk by them. If not, you can also go to Salamanca, which offers an impressive architectural ensemble.
