El Frontón

Located in the Teruel village of Abejuela, this country house is the ideal place to spend a few days in the countryside enjoying the surroundings and hiking in the mountains that surround it, with family or friends.

The house was built in 1508 and has in its facade a stone arch typical of Teruel. It has capacity for 12 people and is divided into the following stays:

• 5 bedrooms, one of them furnished with a double bed, 2 of them with 2 single beds and the other 2 with 3 single beds.

• 2 fully equipped bathrooms that serve all bedrooms.

• A lounge equipped with fluffy sofas in which guests can relax in front of the fireplace with a book of the library.

• A living room with television to relax in the evenings with an entertaining movie.

• A kitchen fully equipped with everything necessary for guests to perform household chores easily and without problems. In this kitchen is included a fireplace with barbecue to be able to make succulent grills.

• Parking area to be able to leave the car easily.

In addition, the house

• It has heating central to always have a pleasant temperature.

• It has 2 cribs for guests traveling with babies.

• is located very close to the bar-restaurant La Ontina, which has internet and grocery store.

Abejuela is a village of 39 inhabitants located south of Teruel. In this town you can see the church of San Agustín, built in the seventeenth century and following the guidelines of the baroque. Worth seeing is also the Hermitage of Santa Margarita that was built in the thirteenth century based on quartz stone by order of King Jaime I of Aragon.

Very close to this area but in the province of Valencia is the Castillo del Real. It is a Muslim fortress that was used to defend Valencia from the kingdom of Aragon. The castle was built in the eleventh century and managed to hold until the thirteenth century being one of the last enclaves to surrender to the reconquest of King Jaime I.

Also in Valencia, but limiting with Teruel, is the Natural Park of Sierra Calderona. It covers some 17,772 hectares and is considered the lung of Valencia. It is a mountain range of less than 1000 meters altitude, mainly populated by trees such as pine and rosemary and aliaga bushes. The animals that can be seen between the leaves of these bushes are the climber blue and the partridge.
