El Cahorzo

The Cahorzo is a beautiful rural house located at Cardeñosa, a quiet village in the province of Ávila, located just 12 km from the capital, entirely built by its owner Miguel.

It is a new construction of 2 floors, with capacity for 8 people, composed by 4 rooms (two with double beds and two with single beds) and 2 bathrooms (one with bathtub on the upper floor and another with a shower).

It is a very cozy house made of oak and stone, decorated with great taste, and consists of the following:

• Living room of 30 m² with fireplace (oak wood included) and small terrace
• Beautiful wooden dining table with glass cover, next to the window
• Television and music equipment
• Central heating
• Fully equipped kitchen with steel appliances and brick vaulted ceiling
• Very large stone patio with barbecue de obra

All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and wooden floors to give them the warmth of a house. One of the rooms on the top floor also has a small terrace.

In winter the house will be perfectly conditioned by the time you arrive, including a small detail of its owners: bottle of wine and homemade muffins.

The house is located in Cardeñosa, a quiet village of Ávila with less than 1,000 inhabitants nestled in an area of ​​granite quarries. It emphasizes like monument the denominated "Calvary" o "The Three Crosses", next to the hermitage.

It is worth visiting Las Cogotas, an archaeological site more than 2,000 years old, where the Vettones settled, a Celtic town. It is divided into the Cogotas I (Bronze Age) and the Cogotas II (Iron Age), and it is worth mentioning the castro.

The church of Santa Cruz de Cardeñosa, from the end of the s. XV and principles of the XVI and the hermitage of the Berrocal, in the high part of the town.

The most important urban center is Avila capital, located about 23 minutes approx. from El Cahorzo, famous for its wall, its cathedral and the Santa Teresa square - among other historical monuments - where you can buy the well-known yolks of Santa Teresa.
