Casas El Arroyo

The lodging is located at Canencia, within the province of Madrid, and has 4 houses located on the same farm.

Each house has a maximum capacity of 6 people distributed in 2 rooms. They are newly renovated houses, so inside the materials and elements are of high quality and made with modern materials.

Each of the houses is divided into 2 floors. On the ground floor is the large space of the dining room. The floor is parquet oscuro, which combines with the furniture of the room. It has a modern sofa next to the wood fireplace ready to be used. There is also a TV and an access to the patio through a window.

In this space is the dining room, which has a wooden table with capacity for 6 diners. There is also furniture and a table for coffee to match the other elements of the room.

Adjacent to the living room is the American style kitchen, which is equipped with ceramic hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine and hood. It also has a breakfast room for more comfort and has utensils, glassware, utensils and kitchen cabinets needed to feel at home. On the ground floor also is located a toilet.

On the first floor of the house are the 2 bedrooms. The main one has a double bed of 135 cm equipped and fully dressed. The body of the bed is solid iron to match the other elements of the environment, such as the closet. The large windows allow the optimal passage of light and in turn gives views of the mountain.

The other room is attic and has 2 single beds 90cm dressed and fully equipped. On the roof there is a skylight where you can see the stars at night. For large groups or families, we offer a full sofa bed with capacity for 2 people.

The bathroom is located on the floor with products and toiletry items necessary to feel comfortable. We also have a towel set for each guest. From this floor you can access the exterior patio of the house. For convenience, the whole house enjoys heating.

In the outdoor patio is 2 barbecues shared by the guests of the farm; one is on the back and the other on the side of the house. We have free firewood for barbecue and fireplace. In addition granite tables are located where you can taste the barbecue.

All the exterior walls of the house are constructed of granite stones, thus preserving the style of rural house typical of the area.
Access to the house is paved and signposted.

The house is located on the mountain range of Madrid, in the village of Canencia. A village with about 500 inhabitants at the foot of Port of Canencia, which has more than 1500 meters of altitude.

You can visit the Church of Santa María del Castillo built in the fifteenth century. In addition to the town square or its 3 medieval bridges where a tourist route circulates.

Thanks to the landscape full of fauna and flora, activities such as mushroom picking, mountain bike rides, climbing, hiking, horseback riding or multi-adventure.

Nearby is the Atazar dam, where activities such as fishing or observation of fauna and flora. Rascafría is a very short distance away, there you can visit the Monastery of El Paular o the Church of San Andrés Apóstol. The ski resorts of Valdeesquí are a great place to visit in winter.

Natural Park of the Summit, Circus and Lagoons of Peñalara is one of the largest and most beautiful of the Community of Madrid. A place to take long walks and observe closely the local fauna.
