Casa Zumadoya

This rural house is located in Gastiain, a town located in the western part of the Navarrese valley of Lana.

The lime and stone building in which the house is located is shared by the other house in the complex, although both houses are completely independent of each other.

The house has capacity for 10 people distributed in a double room located on the ground floor, 2 double rooms located on the second floor, a triple room also located on the first floor and an extra bed.

In addition to the rooms, the house consists of:

• 3 bathrooms fully equipped with toilet, sink, bidet and shower tray. 2 of these sinks are located on the first floor and the third on the ground floor.

• A living room with a sofa where you can spend the afternoons reading, listening to music on the network or watching a television program. Additionally, the table can be used to play board games when not eating.

• A kitchen fully equipped with microwave to heat up leftovers, dishwasher so you don't have to clean up after eating, oven to make magnificent roasts and refrigerator to preserve food well.

• A room with iron and washing machine to do laundry more comfortably.

• A garden where you can have breakfast outdoors and eat magnificent grills made on the barbecue.

In addition, the house has all the home linen necessary for stays of any length, a crib for those traveling with babies, heating to be able to go to this rural retreat also in winter and WiFi connection to be able to upload photos of the surroundings to social networks.

Gastiain is a small Navarrese town located in the Lana valley. This town is the largest of the 6 that make up the valley both in area and population and is the only one that has a store. In this town, the church stands out, which was built in the 16th century and houses an altarpiece dedicated to San Saturnino.

The Lana Valley is a typical Navarrese valley made up of valleys and mountains, so its vegetation varies from beech forests in the highest points to holm oaks and strawberry trees in the lower areas. In addition, in the plains you can find plants such as chamomile, tea, thyme or rosemary, used to make infusions or season dishes. These valleys are populated by eagles, roe deer and squirrels.

Among the many walking routes that can be done in this valley is that of the Lana Caves, used in the 13th and 14th centuries to defend the Kingdom of Navarra. To get to them you must go up to the town of Ulibarri and there begin the path that reaches the mountains. Along the way you will be able to contemplate an extensive landscape covered in vegetation that will take your breath away with its beauty.
