Casa Andueza

This rural house is located in the Navarrese valley of Lana, more specifically in the town of Gastiain. The house shares the lime and stone building in which it is located with another rural house, although the isolation is complete and there is no communication between the houses.

The house is made up of 2 floors and has capacity for 9 people distributed in a double room located on the first floor, 2 double rooms located on the second floor and a triple bedroom also located on the second floor.

In addition to the rooms, the house is divided into:

• 3 full bathrooms, one on the ground floor and the other 2 on the second floor.

• A fully equipped kitchen with an oven to roast vegetables, a ceramic hob to cook stews and a refrigerator to keep local products fresh.

• A living room in which to spend quiet evenings with a book, listening to music on the chain, playing board games or watching an entertaining movie on television.

• A room with washing machine and ironing board to do the laundry quietly in a place away from the smells of the kitchen.

• A back garden furnished with outdoor tables and chairs where you can enjoy a succulent barbecue.

In addition, the house has a WiFi connection to always be in contact with family and friends, heating to keep the house at a pleasant temperature in the winter months and all the home linen necessary to spend a comfortable and restful season.

Gastiain is a town located in the western part of the Lana Valley, in the regional community of Navarra. This town is the only one that has a store in the entire valley, since it is the largest in area and population. Thechurch of this town dates back to the 16th century and has an altarpiece from 1560 dedicated to San Saturnino.

The Lana Valley is populated by holm oaks and strawberry trees in the lower areas, oaks in the middle areas and beech trees in the highest points, although there are also an abundance of aromatic herbs and infusions such as chamomile, rosemary and tea. Between these branches, from time to time you can see squirrels, badgers and the tracks of some wild boar, not to mention birds of prey like the harrier.

Through this valley you can take routes of various difficulties on foot, on horseback or even by bicycle. One of the easiest is the Narcué-Larreineta route, a linear route that covers the distance that separates both towns, goes up to the television repeater passing by the Hermitage of San Cristóbal.
