Casa Tinao

Our accommodation is located in the Granada town of Pórtugos, at the gates of Sierra Nevada, in the region of La Alpujarra.

The house, with traditional Alpujarreño architecture, has been renovated, but preserving the essence of its structure and with it its great rural charm.

The accommodation is located in the urban area of the municipality, and has space for 10 people, with the possibility of an additional bed.

Inside the house we will find an interior that is spread over several floors, and its spaces are various:
 

• Living room: a modern style that includes a large sofa in front of a flat television that shares space with a pellet stove, which, in winter, floods the room with pleasant warmth.

• Kitchen: it is large in size and is located in an independent room in which the queen is the wood-burning fireplace, next to which is the dining table with plenty of space for a large number of diners, and with complete equipment with different appliances.

• 3 bedrooms composed of adouble bed in a large space that also has storage furniture for clothes and other belongings. Asingle bed can be included in one of them.

• A bedroom with a couple of single beds, with plenty of light and, like the rest of the rooms, it has a wardrobe or chest of drawers to store luggage.

• A triple bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, with storage furniture for clothes.

• 2 bathrooms, each with shower, one of them hosting a washing machine with which you can wash your clothes when you need it.

Pets are welcome.

In the heart of Sierra Nevada is Pórtugos.

It is a small town with atypical architecture of La Alpujarra, the region of which it is part.

Among the monuments that are part of the urban area, the main ones are its church based on remains from the 16th century and rebuilt on top of it in a neo-Mudejar style, as well as its hermitage from the 18th century.

Another place to visit is the well-known Fuente Agria, with the peculiarity that the water that emanates from a spring is composed of a high amount of iron, which gives a characteristic appearance to the stream that it runs through.
