Description of Casa Grande de La Gañanía
Our rural house will take you to the Orotava Valley. In the northern part of Tenerife, you will appreciate the climate of this area, especially in the hottest months.
The accommodation is designed to accommodate a maximum of 4 people on its 2 floors. It offers the following comforts and features:
Ground floor:
- Living room-dining room. This room is where the sofas and television are located, for moments of relaxation and entertainment. The dining area is where the table is placed. The room is completely furnished with a robust cupboard where the dishes and some of the household items are stored.
- Kitchen. In it you can cook comfortably thanks to the appliances it has: washing machine, refrigerator, etc., and small appliances such as the microwave or the coffee maker. To store and organize kitchenware and other utensils, the kitchen is furnished with cabinets along the wall.
- Full bathroom.
- The outer area. Outside the walls of the house we have established a garden with a porch. Under this is where we have placed the barbecue so that in case of bad weather you can continue using it. This open space is fully furnished with tables, chairs, loungers and more.
Upper floor:
- 2 double rooms. One of them has a double bed and the other has 2 single beds. The bedding for each of them is included.
- Bathroom: complete and with its corresponding linen.
We can provide you with a crib.
Animals are allowed.

About Javier Perez, Owner of Casa Grande de La Gañanía
We are a couple of retired professors lovers of nature and traditions. Fortunately we inherit this beautiful family home where we were born three generations.
We rehabilitate it, at the end of the last century, for rural tourism, with EUROPEOD DEL FEDER, in the Leader II campaign and therefore, we are an official rural house, discharged in the regional entities and comply with all current legislation.
It highlights in our accommodation the thickness of the old adobe walls, stone and land and local quarry as well as the memories of old tillage and typical work devices of a family home.
The wood also stands out in our house and is present in ceilings and floors of most of the house.
Intimacy is a value, which is opposed to the lack of close landscape views, which we can enjoy from the balcony of the house.
The Realejos is nestled on the right bank, looking from the sea, of the La Orotava Valled, characteristic by its tempered climate. It has a quite extensive Canarian pine forest crown that covers the entire high part of the valley to the Cañadas del Teide.
It has specialized beaches in the Surf, the beach of the Socorro, which in turn has been the starting point of the famous "Route 040" that consists in reaching the top of the Teide from this beach and returning to it.
It is the municipality of Spain that has the highest number of local parties, due to the dispersion of the neighborhoods of the municipality and the devotion for the radiations that these celebrations reflect

Sourroundings of Casa Grande de La Gañanía
Los Realejos is a Tenerife municipality that has several black sand beaches. You can also enjoy its atmosphere and rural tourism, visiting the monuments in the area or even admire the views of the natural landscape left by the Orotava Valley.
If there is a unique aspect of this volcanic area, it is its dragon trees, of which we preserve several twins in our town. You will also be able to observe the heritage that theGuanche people have left us.
In the Orotava Valley you will fall in love with its climate, its landscapes and the historical records that have been left in this area of the island.
Furthermore, since in Tenerife everything is very close, you can drive to all the towns you like.
