Casa Rural La Cuca

The rural house has a traditional appearance and is located in the urban center of Lerín (southwest of Estella-Lizarra), a town of around 2,000 inhabitants, located on a ridged rock and next to the Ega river.

This house has a maximum capacity to accommodate 16 people and can be rented by rooms or as a whole.

Each of the rooms in the house is very spacious; They are distributed as follows:

• In the basement we find a wonderful SPA with jacuzzi with chromotherapy and bubble bed custom designed for the home
• On the ground floor the kitchen-dining room, the living room and a toilet
• The first floor is divided into a living room and 2 double bedrooms, each with a bathroom
• The second has a living room-library and 2 double bedrooms with bathroom
• The third and last, the ground floor consists of: a living room for reading and a double bedroom with a bathroom.

The living rooms have a fireplace, two in total, and television. All rooms offer Internet connection (WiFi) and the bedrooms have bedding, dressers and/or closets.

The kitchen is fully equipped with two long tables with more than 14 chairs, a washer-dryer, a dishwasher, coffee makers, a microwave, an oven, an induction cooker, a toaster, a juicer and a teapot, among other utensils.

The rooms are very spacious and are divided into 2 types: suite and deluxe.

The Suites are a total of 3 rooms and are made up of:

• Bedroom with 2 beds and possibility of adding2 extra beds in each one.
• Living room with television, sofas, mini bar, coffee maker and microwave
• Bathroom with shower, hairdryer, towel rack, etc

The Deluxe are 3 and are equipped with:

• Bedroom with 2 beds
• Bathroom with shower, hairdryer, towel rack, etc

This accommodation, like the Tahona rural houses, has a peculiarity that runs through it: a huge vein of quartz.

In Lerín there are a large number of options for excursions or activities. Some points of interest are:

• Quartz routes
• Visit to the Lerín caves (Cuevas del Aguachal)
• Visit wine cellar and tasting
• Route of dams and natural fountains: fountain of salt water, fountain of lovers, fountain of the sick
• Visit to the abandoned town of Baigorri
• Old Mill

Among the Lerín routes, we find:

• Ascent to the heights of San Marcos (7 kilometers)
• Ascent to Cerro Gabizgordo, of little difficulty and with a sample of the native vegetation (holm oaks and gall oaks)
• From Estella-Lizarra to Lerín
• To the Pinares de Lerín, on foot or by bike

The Ega River is close to the house, next to which we find the baroque and reconstructed hermitage of Nuestra Señora la Blanca.

Furthermore, as historical heritage there are numerous emblazoned houses and certain palaces; a parish house and a baroque building.

Next to the church, the “Fuerte Cazorla” building is the only historical one. This is an ideal viewpoint, since it is the highest place in the town.

It is worth highlighting the work of bustard protection that Lerín is carrying out in the Sarda and Baigorrana areas, through an experimental project.

15 km away is the Memory Park in Sartaguda and 20 km away is the Greenway of the Basque-Navarre railway where you can walk. You can also take the opportunity to enjoy wonderful views at the Mirador Barranco de Peñalén or swim in the summer at The Alloz Reservoir, where you can discover gall oaks, pines and grasslands.
