The rural house you see is located in the town of Pontones, in the province of Jaén.

It is, as its name indicates, a house located at the source of the Segura River. Of old construction and recently renovated, our accommodation stands on three floors, perfectly decorated and equipped with furniture that gives a very cozy atmosphere to every corner.

It allows a maximum occupancy of 14 people, making it a perfect option for traveling in a group and enjoying an indescribable natural environment.

Inside, the house is made up of:

• 2 fully equipped kitchens, each on one of the floors, thus facilitating the task of cooking without large crowds in the same space. Both, decorated with rustic furniture, have a set of modern appliances and, among their cabinets, thedishes and kitchenware. These two rooms have, in the same space, adining table where all the occupants can sit and eat.

• 2 rooms; having one of them on the first floor and the second on the last. The first of them has a set of multi-seater sofas in brown tones, directed towards the wall where the wood-burning fireplace is located, for which the material is provided daily; on one side and hanging on the wall, the plasma television. The second of them, somewhat smaller, is on the top floor decorated, this one, in more modern colors that tend towards reds and purples; It also has two sofas that convert into beds, increasing the capacity of the house.

• 3 full bathrooms ; all of them with modern-looking toilets in perfect condition, with showers and sink furniture on which are mirrors reinforced with spotlights that provide more light to the rooms. All of them also have towel sets for each one.

• 6 bedrooms which are made up of: two with a double bed and one single bed; a double one, with a single bed; a room, with two single beds and, finally, one with a bunk bed and a wooden desk. Each one has been decorated following the maxim of offering comfort and good views, as is the case of one of them which, located in the highest part, has its walls covered with large windows with views to the outside.

In the outdoor areas, this house offers leisure possibilities that include a built-in barbecue and, in the same space, a table with stone benches. Due to its steep location, it is possible to appreciate, while we enjoy the food we have cooked outdoors, the views. On the other hand, a wooden terrace in the front, to relax watching the mountains, comfortable in the outdoor furniture with which it has been equipped.

The surroundings of our rural house, in the province of Jaén, are spectacular, with the steep mountains as a landscape combined with green meadows.

Precisely, these mountains are what form theSierra de Segura, accessible through mountain routes leading to the highest peaks. These routes provide the most beautiful landscapes of this part of Andalusia, preserving in their wake the native fauna and flora of the banks of the river that bears the same name and that bathes these lands.

There are several reservoirs from which you can enjoy the views, since they are surrounded by mountain areas; Two of the most important are the Embalse de la Vieja and the Embalse de Anchuricas.
