Sourroundings of Casa Rural Artena
The town was abandoned 50 years ago and in recent years has been rehabilitated recovering its old appearance and its charming air.
For nature lovers and animals it is an ideal enclave since near the town there is a reserve where you can find species that are difficult to see in other places in Spain.
On the other hand, it is worth walking through its streets and visiting places of interest in the surrounding area such as the hermitage of Santa María de Iguacel, a Romanesque-style construction that dates back to the 11th century.
We can also visit various remains of a Cisrstencian monastery in the area.
